Description
Jotun Jotamastic 87
Jotun Jotamastic 87 is a two-component polyamine cured epoxy mastic coating which is a surface tolerant, high solids and high build product. Jotamastic 87 is designed for areas where optimum surface preparation is not possible or desired and can also be applied at sub-zero surface temperatures. Jotamastic 87 provides long-lasting protection in environments with high corrosivity.
Who’s Jotun Jotamastic 87 for
Jotun Jotamastic 87 is suitable for properly prepared carbon steel and aged coating surfaces. It can be used as a primer, mid-coat, finish coat or as a single-coat system in atmospheric and immersed environments. Jotamastic 87 is primarily designed for maintenance and repair. In the marine industry, it can be used on outside hulls, exterior and interior areas including water ballast tanks and it can be used as a protective coating for offshore environments like splash zones, refineries, power plants, bridges, buildings, mining equipment and general structural steel.
Jotun Jotamastic 87 can be applied using airless spray, using a brush is recommended for stripe coating and small areas. A roller can be used for small areas but isn’t recommended for the first primer coat. When using a brush or a roller extra care must be taken to achieve the specified dry film thickness.
