We are currently seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Gloucester. The primary purpose of the role is effective implementation of the marketing plan. You will be working with the marketing director, sales and management teams, plan and implement all tactical marketing activity. Aligning with the sales team, generating new leads, and managing marketing assets, specifically websites . As a Marketing Manager you will supervise creative execution and external suppliers.

Key duties and responsibilities….

Marketing Plan

  • Participate in the development of the company marketing plan.
  • Implement agreed marketing campaigns by developing materials (with external suppliers when required), liaising with the sales team to ensure they are kept informed, and their inputs are considered plus providing them with insight into results.
  • Using campaign management tools, execute the campaigns defined in the plan to time, budget and ROI, reporting on their effectiveness and learning from their results.

Marketing Budget

  • Input to the marketing budget, manage approved marketing expenditure to the agreed budget and ROMI levels.

Web Site

  • Manage web hosting and development, working with external agencies and internal resources.
  • Keep The site up to date, search optimise the site, implement PPC campaigns.
  • Manage customer portal and grow e-commerce sales. Report on site performance.

Brand

  • Utilise the company brands. Logo/colourways/visual implementation/consistency and trademark management.

Lead Generation

  • Maintain an up to date set of customer personas, specifically target marketing activities toward these personas.

Campaigns.

  • Work with the sales team to define and implement specific lead generation and marketing campaigns, including support of individual activities that enable them to reach their sales goals.

Content Creation

  • Manage the creation of marketing collateral, including email, blog, case studies, catalogues and web assets that fit the messaging and brand requirements.

Email

  • Implement segmented email campaigns that touch every contact in the database with relevant information at least once per month.

Social Media

  • Implement a social media program that supports the marketing plan goals, sales goals, and company positioning/culture. Build a substantial and engaged social contact base.
  • Support the sales team with their individual LinkedIn engagements.

CRM

  • Drive use of CRM (HubSpot) to make full use of all facilities to improve customer engagement and ROI.

Requirements

  • Recognised marketing qualification and >3 years’ experience in similar roles in a B2B environment.
  • Good understanding of marketing planning and ROMI
  • Familiarity with Marketing Automation, email and customer engagement platforms CRM and CMS systems.
  • Familiarity with B2B social media channels and tools.
  • Strong sales affinity
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills. Initiative, drive and enthusiasm.
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy, able to use Office tools, spreadsheets, email effectively.
  • Able to write good quality copy and social posts in English without supervision
  • Positive, responsive, energetic outgoing and good at making things happen without detailed supervision
  • Able to influence and leverage the larger team
  • The candidate needs to have a proven track record for ‘making it happen’ and driving sales growth.
  • Driven by numbers, experience in delivering Lead & LAG

Hours: 8 till 5 with 45 minutes break / lunch (Monday- Friday)
