Jotun Penguard HB Primer is a two component, polyamide cured, high molecular weight epoxy coating.
Who is Jotun Penguard HB Primer for?
Jotun Penguard HB Primer is for structural steel and piping that will be exposed to corrosive environments. It is recommended for offshore environments, refineries, power plants, bridges, building and mining equipment.
This product is suitable for properly prepared carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, concrete, galvanised steel, shop primed steel and thermally sprayed zinc substrates.
Pros & Cons of Jotun Penguard HB Primer
Jotun Penguard HB Primer is designed as a high build all-purpose coating for new construction and can be used as a primer, mid coat, finish coat or as a single coat system in atmospheric and immersed environments. However, this is a two-pack product which has the slight inconvenience of having to mix the product and then needs and induction time of 30 mins before use, then needs to be used within 8 hours of being mixed. (Times based on temperature of 23 ºC)
